Aadhaar cards that are received from Akshaya centers are generally paper cards. They need to be laminated and maintained properly to avoid damage.

You can request a PVC plastic Aadhaar card. This card contains security features like 

1. Secure QR Code
2. Hologram
3. Micro text
4. Ghost image
5. Issue Date & Print Date
6. Guilloche Pattern
7. Embossed Aadhaar Logo

 

Please follow the below steps to apply a new PVC plastic Aadhaar card.

 

1. Visit https://residentpvc.uidai.gov.in/order-pvcreprint.php
2. Enter aadhaar card number
3. Click on "send OTP"
4. A OTP will be sent to registered mobile. Enter the OTP number in the textbox below.
5. Your will be taken to preview aadhaar card page.
6. Review your aadhaar details and click on Make Payment.
7. Once the payment is completed, Your Plastic aadhaar card will be sent to your registered home address.
