How to keep kids engaged during this pandemic situation

Keeping ourselves engaged and positive during a pandemic situation is a gigantic task.

If that's true, What does it takes to keep our kids busy during these challenging times?

Here are few tips that may help you to keep up with the challenge.

Find the interest of your children:

The first important thing is to understand what they need. You need to talk to your kids and find out what interests them. Our interests in life keep changing over time, so will be the children's.

Spend time with your kids:

The most important thing in life that you can gift your children is your time. In this busy world, the most common complaint from kids is that they do not get enough time with their parents. With most of the parents working from home. You should allocate the time that you can dedicate to your children. This is going to help you in the long run.

Teach them something new:

Kids are very curious. Try to find your kid's interests and engage them in learning something new. You can bring out an artist, a musician, a dancer, or a rare talent hidden in your kid.

House chores:

Make your kids do house chores. I am serious. It can be a small thing like arranging their clothes or replacing flowers in your flower vase. Don't forget to reward them if they are sincere.

Take them to  your childhood days:

Children love to play. No matter what. With lesser contact with friends, You will be their partner in crime. Apart from the modern age games, take them to your childhood and play the games that you have enjoyed during your childhood. Believe me. Your kids are gonna love it.

Stick to a Time table:

With no school, Children may fall into a trap of staying up late at night and enjoy late morning sleep. Try to bring in a liberal schedule. Ask them to go to bed at right time, allocate some time to read books, or learn something useful.

Restrict screentime:

Last but not least try to restrict the screentime. Being stressed with the negativity and havoc, it's possible that we stick to our cellphones or laptops. This may lead our children to demand more screen time. Keeping the kids safe and healthy is each parent's responsibility.
