Back in day when there are no pain killers, Doctors talk to us about various things to keep the patient's attention diverted. Then there came the pain killers to keep the patients sedated.
With the advancement of Technology, A new pain killer came into existence, The Virtual Reality.
Blaine Baxter, a 10-year-old injured his arm in a go-kart accident, was admitted in Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. He has to go through a painful process dressing his hands daily.
The Hospital decided to use an Virtual Reality Headset to keep Blaine diverted during the procedure. When the doctors are dressing the wound, Blaine will be enjoying Deep Sea Adventures or playing his favorite games in a different dream world.
