Is Dhoni captaincy under threat?

Undoubtedly Dhoni has been the greatest captain in the world of cricket. Dhoni has been constantly delivering as a finisher and wicket keeper with his magical glove-work.

Sourav Ganguly have showed India "how to matches" and Dhoni have made Team India feel the pleasure by "Keep winning matches".

Ever since India won the 2007 T20 world cup under Dhoni's Captaincy, Dhoni's career streak has started to rise upwards. 2011 world cup victory for India become yet another feather in his cap.

Ups and Downs are always part of life.

The most reason for his success is the unexpected option he chose on the field.(Choosing Johinder sharma to bowl the last over in 2007 T20 cup or promoting himself up the order in 2011 world cup)

Off late Captain cool's decision are not hitting the bulls-eye often. He is being frequently targeted for not being able to finish the match and become the match winning captain. A player could not be in his best form all the time.

Dhoni's decision take retire from Test cricket to concentrate on the shorter format of the game may be shock quick decision for his fans but there would have be certainly brainstormed by the captain cool.

Kohli has raised his standards from an aggressive youngster to a matured performer who have been in a blazing form now.

Kohli's personal life was expected to be disturbing his career but he have handled the situation very well. Being the No.4 batsmen with most centuries  in 174 innings is showing the level of commitment and aggression shown on the field.

Kohli is following the footsteps of Dhoni in way to become the next Captain in all formats of the Game. He have clinched tight to Test Captain by back to back victories and leading from the front by putting enough runs on the board.

Kane williamson's comment on kohli after 3rd ODI between India and New Zealand a classic example. "If you cannot dismiss this man, Then it doesn't matter how much ever runs you put on the board".

Dhoni's responsibility in the team is not only limited to captaincy but He is as a strong middle order batsman and an excellent wicket keeper too. Though we have a strong bench strength of Young middle order batsmen. We have a limited number of established wicket keepers at this point.

With only a several years of service left out, Dhoni may bid an adieu to the field in style with the hope of leaving his place in Kohli's Good hands.
