The great firewall of China

You would have probably heard of the great wall of china and it's history. But this is nowhere related that and this is purely about the internet censorship imposed on
China.

China, People's Republic,is the largest populated country in the world with it's stunning figures of 1.355 billion. They stands first as the country having highest number of internet using population.

But the regulations on their internet usage keeps on growing as part of the Golden shield project initiated in china by 1998. At this point, Chinese users do not have access to top rates sites such as Google, Facebook, youtube, yahoo, twitter, flickr.

The access to gmail has been blocked recently and companies that were using gmail for their official purpose were blown away by the decision. The exceptions are for the chinese users who have a server setup at somewhere outside china and connecting them through their private connections.

Though this is giving hard time to Internet giants, This has added a pinch of sugar to the local chinese based Internet service companies.
