Google beats Apple : 2015

Since it's origin, iOS and Andriod are in neck to neck competition to become the world leader.

2016 started with a glad news for the andriod users. At the end of 2015, Google play store have successfully overtoook the Apple app store in number of applications that it hold.

Google play holds a total of 2 million apps in comparison to Apple stores's 1.7 apps now. A higher growth rate of google's andriod apps seems to be from games and photography applications.

Apple's strict app review policy is a main reason for the reduction in the number of apps. Apple have been more concerned in the quality of the app than the quantity of the app and so they may disapprove or pull down any app in it's app store.

A report from Evan Data state that Apple iOS developers spend most of their time coding whereas Android developers spend a huge amount of their time testing and debugging their code.

Adding to that, Google have added more number of andriod developers than Apple's iOS developers.
