Why not Zebra if we can domesticate Horses and Donkeys?

The Zebra stays free in the wild. While Horses were used as a means of commutation and Donkeys are used as hard labor. Did Humans ever try to domesticate Zebras?

There were attempted made to domesticate Zebra in the olden days but failed miserably to the non-predictive nature of Zebras.



The Zebras have a strong survival instinct and they are generally alert responsive animals. It follows a Flight or Fight principle(Runs away or Fight back under threat). 

The Zebra kick is more powerful to break a lion's jaw and they are savage biters.

Bonus

Zebra, Horse, and Donkeys belong to the same family called Hyracotherium(Their Ancestors). The hybrids are called Zonkey(Zebra+Donkey) and Zorse (Zebra+Horse)
