[Get inspired] Rahul Dravid response to Steve Waugh

Rahul Dravid has made an interesting revelation on how he got over the Steve Waugh's sledging during his days.

Rahul Dravid has played many memorable innings in his career which gave his the name Mr.Dependable and The Wall.

During the historic Eden Gardens test in 2001,Team India was down 0-1 and was bundled out to a meager score in the first innings of second test. Dravid was going through bad run of form in the test series so far and demoted as the number six batsman.

Along with thier razor sharp performance, Aussies were indulged in sledging the Indian batsmen to make them feel unsettled. When Dravid walked into field, Waugh said. 'Rahul, number six in this innings, what is it in the next innings? Number 12?"

Dravid reveals the inspirational way in which he tackled the situation in the Go Sports Athletes' Conclave in Bengaluru.
"It was quite funny because I had reached the depths, I felt so low. I was not in a position to think about the past or about the future. And in cricket, it is just about focusing on one ball at a time. I thought 'let me see how many one balls I can play at a time.' I was thinking one more, one more',".

The rest is history. A brilliant knock of VVS Laxman's 281 and Rahul Dravid's 180 followed by Harbhajan singh's brilliant bowling helped India win the match. Team India registered one of the iconic test series victory in the history of Indian cricket.
